Black forest stallion by Schleich. Hand painted animal figurine by Scheich. From theHorse Clubcollection.

Model 13897.

4.92″ x 1.18″ x 4.72“.

The Black Forest Stallion from the Schleich Farm World has a very dynamic pose. It shows how powerful and vigorous the Black Forest cold blood horses are. The animals are also known as Wlderpferde (Woods Horse) because they used to help with heavy forestry work. These days the lively Black Forest cold bloods are mainly popular as recreational horses and are used for riding or to pull carriages and sleighs.

Fun fact: The Black Forest cold blood is very rare and therefore rated as an endangered native working animal breed.

Schleich products are made of various plastics and dyes, which are carefully selected to meet the respective requirements. Most typically plastics used are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), in addition to other plastics typical for toys. Even the material suppliers are subject to strict controls by our quality officers. The dyes used are optimally adapted to the different types of plastic and demonstrate top-rate mechanical and chemical resistance. They ensure the high durability of Schleich products and make all Schleich pieces saliva and sweat proof as well as abrasion-resistant, and thus ensure that they are completely safe for playing with. Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production. All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.

We love Schleich’s realistic animal figures, a quality toy that stimulates the child’s imagination as well as teaching them about animals and wildlife.
