Cleaning Instructions

Washing (Newer Soft Toys)

For newer soft toys, including baby mats, toys with squeakers, crinkle paper, plastic activity pieces, and rattles:

• Place the toy in a mesh bag or clean pillowcase.
• Secure with a knot or rubber band to keep the toy safe.
• Wash in cold water on the delicate cycle.

Drying

• Lay all toys flat to air dry.
• Once dry, gently brush or “fluff” the toy for softness.

Cleaning (Vintage and Delicate Toys)

For vintage toys or those with sound boxes, metallic details, and long pile fabric:

• Do not fully submerge these toys in water.
• Dampen a cloth with water and mild soap.
• Lovingly wipe the toys surface.
• Allow to air dry and brush or fluff as needed.

WubbaNub Cleaning

Pacifier Nipple

• Wash the nipple before initial use: Place the nipple in warm water with mild soap.
• Sterilize by pouring boiled water into a mug, then submerge the nipple for 2-4 minutes.
• Let it cool, then squeeze the nipple to release any excess water inside.

Plush Part

The plush part of WubbaNubs should be hand-washed to preserve quality. It can also be machine-washed in a mesh laundry bag on the gentle cycle. Always air dry.

Sterilizer

A moist heat sterilizer unit can be used with WubbaNub products. Do not place WubbaNubs in the dryer, as heat can affect the pacifiers silicone integrity.

Mary Meyer Toy Safety Standards

Mary Meyer toys adhere to a five-step safety process that ensures the highest standards of safety:

1. Design

Mary Meyer designers exceed ASTM safety standards, ensuring each design prioritizes safety through fabric choice and construction techniques.

2. Testing

All Mary Meyer toys undergo rigorous testing to meet or exceed U.S. safety standards. Toys that fail are redesigned or removed from production.

3. Production

Safety protocols in production include:

• Metal detectors ensure no metal fragments are inside the toys.
• Plastic eyes are sonic-welded for secure attachment.
• Beans are sewn into inner bags to prevent spillage in case of a seam break.

4. Inspection

Inspections throughout and after production ensure safety, quality, design consistency, correct labeling, and package integrity.

5. Compliance Certification

Mary Meyer provides a CPSC Compliance Certificate as required by law. The toys comply with stringent safety requirements, including flammability, small parts, choking hazards, and phthalate regulations.

Safety for Infants

Mary Meyer toys are safety-tested at independent labs to meet U.S. standards, including checks for BPA, lead, and phthalates. All manufacturing processes comply with regulatory guidelines to ensure each toy is safe for infants.
